Community cinema spreads and other good news

So 2019 started for us with a new community cinema site, Merton Extra Care Home. Was lovely to meet the residents and staff there and we’re looking forward to seeing them next month, along with the residents at two other new sites.

Tuesday mornings we run Breightmet Butterflies Women’s group at Breightmet UCAN 9.30-11.30, where we do a whole host of activities designed to improve confidence and reduce isolation. Got something exciting to put to the women on Tuesday, a special future activity! can’t wait 🙂

Thursdays are Breightmet Film Club and Thursday Club at the Elderdale centre, a chance for older residents to get together, have a chat and a brew, watch a film and do art activities, games and project work.

We’ll be starting work on a new film soon looking at the benefits of local dementia respite support, and the People’s Quilt will have its exhibition launch next month. Plenty going on to help us burn off that Christmas chocolate and cheese!!!
