Welcome to The Videobox

The Videobox is a not for profit Arts organisation specializing in video production with a community focus. We use digital arts, mainly film, as a tool for engagement, training, consultation and empowerment.

We deliver creative participatory projects with people of all ages and backgrounds, including film making, creative writing, photography and mixed media. We work in schools (secondary, primary and SEND), with local community groups and social housing providers and have produced work for local authorities, the NHS and national organisations.

We have experience of working with older people, hard to reach communities, young people, and those with additional needs. We have previously delivered projects with young people involved in the criminal justice system, those with substance misuse and mental health issues, asylum seekers and NEETS.

We’re qualified Arts Award Advisors and The Videobox is a registered Arts Award Centre. We can offer ‘Discover’ & ‘Explore’ (Primary aged children) and ‘Silver’ & ‘Bronze’ (secondary aged children) Arts Awards packages.

Our video production packages include evaluations, consultations, video resources and promotional films.

Our recent projects include

As part of their #Bekindtomymind campaign, created to tackle the stigma facing young people with Mental Health issues, local young people from Friends of Bolton CAMHS produced a play ‘The Elephant in the Room’. This film focuses on the play and their feelings about the process. Funded by NHS England.
